Vaitiare Au Harehoe

Portrait: Vai Au HarehoeVaitiare Au-Harehoe was born and raised in Tahiti. Vai now lives in Los Angeles where she has found success as a professional dancer, choreographer and actress. She is well versed in many dance styles including Burlesque, Cabaret, Jazz, Salsa, Hip Hop, Samba, Tango and Tahitian.

Portrait: Vai Au HarehoeVai was a dancer on the 2009 Academy Awards for Slumdog Millionaire and Usher’s lead dancer on “Dancing with the Stars”. She can be seen in numerous music videos with notable singers such as Justin Timberlake, Lenny Kravitz, Toni Braxton and Jennifer Hudson. As a choreographer, Vai recently worked on Chris Brown and Ciarra’s BET Awards performance as well as Ne-Yo’s AMA’s performance. She is also trained in martial arts and film fighting.

Vai starred in the movie Turbo, the Red Shoes Diary pilot and in the film On the Job Training. Her other notable film credits include You Got Served, Bolden and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Vai can also be seen in commercials for AT&T, Motorola, Dr Pepper, Gap, Verizon, Samsung and Puma.

Paul Barris

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Paul started dancing at the age of ten. His main training started with ballroom dancing but it wasn’t until he attended Brigham Young University where he got to study other forms of dance. There he had the privilege of being on scholarship and travel the world competing and performing. While at college, Paul won the U.S. Ten Dance Championships and had the opportunity to represent the US in Riga, Latvia.

Paul continued studying dance in New York and San Francisco and now that he resides back in LA, he has entered the entertainment industry. From television to commercials, some of his accomplishments have been featured on Dancing With The Stars and the up and coming smash hit “Dance Your Ass Off” airing this June. He has also choreographed for recording artist Ne-Yo, and the newest music video for The Pussy Cat Dolls titled ” Hush Hush.”

Besides appearing in our DYAO iPhone game applications, Paul is also one of the stars of the new Dance Your Ass Off television show airing on Oxygen!

Mike Gamble

Mike GambleOriginally from Hartford, CT Mike hails from Philadelphia, PA where he garnered most of his training in African, Hip Hop, Modern, Jazz, House, Breaking and Capoeira. While in Philadelphia he guest performed with Gwendolyn Bye and Dance Del Bello dance companies, choreographed for the Drexel University Dance Ensemble and Dance Team, and was an original founding member of FLOMotion, an international Hip Hop dance company, while also maintaining a career in Marketing and Special Events. In the summer of 2000, Mike made dance history becoming the first (and only) male to complete the final cuts of the Philadelphia 76ers Dance Team.

Mike GambleMike moved to Los Angeles in 2003 and became active in the commercial industry performing (dancing and acting) in music videos and commercials including work with artists Leela James and India Arie and companies including Target, Nokia, Home Depot, Best Buy and Nike. He has also produced and choreographed burlesque companies whom have performed in and around Los Angeles, Reno, Laughlin and Las Vegas and with artists including Panic! At the Disco and R. Kelly.

While he continues to enjoy being in front of the camera, currently Mike is focusing his talents behind the scenes in production and education through the arts, having choreographed for an Emmy-nominated children’s television program, developing a university-level arts culture course and developing theatre shows and short-films based on various societal topics including being Black in America and the history of the evolution of dance, while also continuing to choreograph, produce and develop companies and artists and coaching healthy minds, bodies & lifestyles as a fitness instructor/trainer.

Lena Kosovich

Lena KosovichLena Kosovich, a native of Russia, has been dancing since the age of 5. She has benn living in the USA for the last 18 years and has been dancing with her husband Nick for 10 years.

Lena and Nick started a very successfull ballroom dance costume company, LeNique, which was recently removed from Manhattan to Beverly Hills.

Nick Kosovich

Nick KosovichNick Kosovich, a native of Australia, started dancing at the age of 9. He moved to the USA 18 years ago and has been dancing with his wife Lena for the last 10 years.

Nick is an internationally respected professional ballroom dancer and he competed for 30 years before his retirement. Nick participated in seven Professional World Championship events, winning the United States American Smooth Championships and finishing second in the 2004 World Classic Showdance Championships.

Nick, along with his wife Lena, holds some 40+ Professional Showdance and American Ballroom titles including:
Two-time U.S. American Ballroom Champion
2005 World American Ballroom Champion
Two-time U.S. Classic Showdance Champion
Two-time World Classic Showdance runner-up
Three-time Arthur Murray National Smooth Champions

Kosovich has appeared in several movies, including Shall We Dance?, Everyone Says I Love You, Blue in the Face and Only with You.

Nick has appeared on Dancing with the Stars several times including season 2 when partnered with actress Tatum O’Neal and Season 3 with actress Vivica A. Fox. His choreography on Dancing with the Stars was nominated for an emmy in 2006. Nick also choreographed the semi-final and final rounds of competition in the Oxygen show “Dance Your Ass Off”.

Snow Urbin

Snow Urbin was born in Siberia, Russia, where she studied ballet, modern, folk and jazz dance. She started competing in ballroom dance at the age of five.

Urbin taught children at the Fred Astaire Dance Studios in New York, and at additional schools including the Rising Stars Academy, where she met Dancing with the Stars’ Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The two became dance partners and also competed together.

In addition to her appearance on Dancing With the Stars, Snow has appeared in national commercials, and been featured in music videos, including Shakira’s Hips Don’t Lie, with Wyclef Jean, Paul Oakenfold’s Faster Kill Pussycat, with Brittany Murphy, and Justin Timberlake’s What Goes Around Comes Around.
